The Sydney LMR includes the towns and cities of Caterbury/Bankstown, Central Western Sydney, Eastern Suburbs, Fairfield, Inner Sydney, Inner Western Sydney, Liverpool, Macarthur, Nepean, Northern Sydney, Outer Western Sydney, St George-Sutherland and Wollongong. It covers a total area of approximately 8 750.4 square kilometres and its estimated resident population as at 30 June 2006 was 4 196 701 people.
