1.  Ranked Employing Regions ('000) 

This bar chart shows the main employing regions for each industry (ANZSIC 1 digit). The region titles hyperlink to the relevant DEWR Regional Census Profile page where detailed census employment information can be accessed. The regions are based on the DEWR Labour Market Regions (LMRs). The census data are also available at the sub-regional level (Employment Service Areas - ESAs).

2. Main Employing Occupations

This bar chart shows the top 20 Main Employing Occupations for each broad industry. The occupation titles also hyperlink to the relevant page on Job Outlook which contains an extensive employment profile for each of the occupations.

3. State and Territory Industry Growth

This bar chart shows the employment growth (in thousands of persons) over the last five and ten years in each State and Territory, ranked in order of size, for any selected broad industry (ANZSIC 1 digit).

4. Dynamic State/Territory Industry Spreadsheet

This Excel data tool provides industry of employment data for any selected State or Territory, or for Australia as a whole, in both a bar chart and a table.  Annual average employment levels are used (that is, quarterly Labour Force Survey data averaged over four quarters).  The chart and table can compare average employment levels between any two selected years within the last 12 years.  The industry data are at ANZSIC Division (1 digit) level.

5. Dynamic State/Territory Occupation Spreadsheet

This is the occupation equivalent of the preceding Excel data tool.  It provides occupation size data for any selected State or Territory, or for Australia as a whole, in both a bar chart and a table. Annual average employment levels are used (that is, quarterly Labour Force Survey data averaged over four quarters). The chart and table can compare average employment levels between any two selected years within the last 12 years.  The occupational data are at ANZSCO Major Group (1 digit) level.
