Font size
The font size on the screen can be increased or decreased to your preference in your browser by selecting - View > Text size.
Alternatively you can use CTRL with the scroll wheel on your mouse.
Printing
Pages will be automatically formatted for most printers to print the content of the page only, exclusive of the other elements seen on screen, such as the left side navigation bar.
Document types
Document types are labelled with appropriate icons:
- Excel spreadsheet
- PDF document
- PowerPoint presentation
- Word document
Links to external sites are denoted by underlining.
Industry Employment Profiles
Opening the Excel Sheet
Prior to the Excel workbooks opening, you will receive a warning message in relation to Excel macros. Choose 'Yes' in response to the message and the workbook will continue to open.
Once the Excel spreadsheet is opened, simply click on the down arrow on the right side of the drop down box and select an industry.
Some of the Excel sheets contain only the 17 broad industries, while others have two 'drop down' list boxes which allow users to 'drill down' into data on specific industries.
The data has been arranged into the following broad groupings. Click on any of the five links to go to the relevant groupings of the spreadsheets.
Data Sources
It is important to note that a data update is undertaken quarterly to update SkillsInfo with the latest Labour Force data.
At various times during this process data may not be consistent throughout the website. Please bear with us- if you have any questions about data please use the Contact Us feature.
The details of data sources only related to content which is loaded directly onto SkillsInfo any data sources accessed through links will have to be accessed off individual websites.
