The Job Outlook website contains a wealth of information, including future job prospects, for over 400 different occupations. Click on ‘Vacancies for this Occupation’ to search for vacancies in your region or ‘Find Training for this occupation’ to explore local education and training opportunities.

You can also access the Australian Jobs publication, which provides an overview of job prospects.

How do I find training for a particular occupation?

A good starting point would be to visit the National Training Information Service (NTIS) website, the database on vocational education and training in Australia.  In particular, NTIS provides a Search and Browse function that allows you to find training courses and qualifications in one or many states. Simply click on the following link to go to the search page: http://www.ntis.gov.au/Default.aspx?find.

You should also visit the Australian Training website, which allows you to search for education and training courses for over 400 different occupations and to find training courses within your State and region.
