Census Regional Profiles - Place of Work

The Census 2006 Regional Profiles on this page are based on place of work, reflecting the primary focus of SkillsInfo on where the jobs are, the mix of employment opportunities available and the skill needs of regions.  Other regional profiles based on place of usual residence are available through this link:

The regional structure used in the profiles is based on the DEEWR administrative areas called Labour Market Regions (LMRs) and Employment Service Areas (ESAs). Click here for more information on these regions.

More information about Census data quality issues and the limitations of Census data can be found in the ABS Census Data Quality Statement.

Each of the following profiles is an Excel-based tool that examines aspects of national, State/Territory and regional labour markets using Census data in graphical format.
